I simply had to share this with you: one flower of my new hibiscus bush opened up today – isn´t it just beautiful?! 😀
I´m also adding one of my favourite songs of one of my favourite bands just because it also has some “flowers” in it and always makes me smile – sadly it´s not a hibiscus though 😉 Hope you enjoy it!
Such a lovely flower ^_^

Lovely flower. Funny that one opposite sides the world in different hemispheres, we each have one hibiscus. I like the music too; reminded me a bit of the American band Fleet Foxes. 😀

Will have to look out for the Fleet Foxes then!! 🙂 Have a great sunday! xoxo

Beautiful! Hibiscus is one of my favorites, and I miss them blooming all over the place. I spent a few years teaching English in Oaxaca, Mexico and was so lucky to have these abundantly adorning many gardens and landscapes through out the city.
In the Inland Northwest of the US? Not so much. BUT, I love that you posted this today in particular, because I noticed a squash blossom on my plant for the first time this morning. So lovely to wake up to and looked like a little bit of sunshine, if you ask me.
Thanks for posting this beauty, Sarah. Happy Thursday!

Thank you so much for your lovely comment, Melissa!!! 🙂 That must have been a wonderful sight to see in Oaxaca! Hibiscus normally doesn´t grow here either but my windows go to the south and in winter I get them inside.
I do share your feelings about waking up to a beautiful flower – it´s always such a joy and puts a smile on your face, doesn´t it? 🙂 And squash blossoms are so beautiful!
Wish you a splendid weekend, my friend! xoxo

Thank you so much much for saying that 🙂
First days after a surgery are always the toughest, I hope you could sleep as much as possible? That´s the best one can do under such circumstances.
You too have a wonderful – and painfree! – weekend, Terry – you absolutely deserve it!!! 🙂

+1 to Beautiful flower. The single one like that reminds me of seeing ladies put them on the hair.
