Sepia Spell – Flight of Stairs

IMG_1597
Koernerpark, Berlin Neukölln (2016)

This is one of the four entrances to the park I´ve introduced you to last week.

The Koernerpark is situated below street level, so you have to walk down these beautiful flight of stairs to get to the garden area.

Somehow this does always make me feel like a movie star 😉

Also, today is my first blog anniversary here on WordPress!!! (Somehow I totally missed this date and haven´t prepared anything special! So sorry about that!)

    1. Aww – thank you soooo much, Alan!!! 🙂 Really, I don´t know what to say, you made me quite speechless with that beautiful compliment, and I´m pretty sure I´m blushing, too! 🙂
Hope I will keep this standard in future posts as well… 🙂

  1. Happy Blog Anniversary Sarah! Doesn’t it just excite us to cross a milestone! Keep rocking girl!
The picture gives such a royal classy look. Makes me imagine, a lady in a lavish, frilled black gown trailing behind her as she runs towards her love, waiting down the stairs! Awwwww! How heartening! 💕💕 😋

Oho! That image in your head sounds definitely like a must-see!! Maybe I can persuade someone to enact that scene for us on the steps 😉 How lovely that it inspires you to such a beautful imagery 😀
And let me tell you how lovely it is, to hear from you again!! I know you´re very busy, and I´m on this low profile thing regarding the internet at the moment – but I really missed you a lot!!!
Have a very beautiful week, dear friend!!! xxxxxxx ❤

  3. Congratulations, Sarah! Well done!
There are quite a few remarkable scenes that were shot on the stairs – especially in romantic movies 🙂 This photograph does look like a part of a movie 🙂

    1. Thank you so much, Inese!!! 🙂 Your comments always make me beam 😀
Do you have any particular movie scenes in mind? I can only remember the staircase from “Gone with the Wind” at the moment, but am sure there are a few lovely ones with Grace Kelly, too… I love stairs, they appeal to me very much, and I always try to use them instead of an elevator, to keep fit 😉

      1. Oh, film noir have plenty of stair scenes, almost in each movie :). All those dramatic ascents and descents, and passionate kisses with a high risk of falling and breaking their necks 🙂

      1. I can understand that. Your monochrome images are stunning! I’m kind of the opposite — I almost forget I can work in even black and white unless I’m reminded.

      2. Thank you so very much, Su!!! 🙂
And I´m always so fascinated by your colour photographs and the light you so magnifecently catch with each shot!
Haha! We would work together well then as a team – photographing each scene once on b/w and once in colour and comparing and discussing the benefits 😉

      3. Thank you Sarah. I think we would make an amazing team. I’ll have to figure out how to make that work along with our international food exchange programme. 🙂

      4. Right! There doesn’t seem to be any way to send homemade food overseas, so I guess we’ll have to get rich and organise a cooking retreat in some nice location so we can learn from each other.

    1. Thank you so much, Terry!!! 🙂
It is exciting, though completely caught me by surprise when I read that note from WordPress this morning 😉
It´s lovely how you see those stairs also as a good exercise opportunity! I never did, but will surely remember your comment next time I go there 😉
