Editing Experiments

Recently I had another fit of playing with my photo editing software 😉

This time though I was challenging it: Would it it possible to turn something quite ordinary into something faintly resembling art? My answer: I think it is!

I´m not going to show you the whole process  though now, but rather would like you to join my little “art riddle” so to speak. You see, I have cut the picture in the hope it might not be too easy for you to guess the thing that is in fact behind it.

Feel free to come forth with any idea you might have! I´m really looking forward to them! (And secretly hope that no one will guess right 😉 )

The correct answer will be revealed tomorrow and if there´s a winner, he or she will be granted full boasting rights for at least a week! 😀

Have fun!

guess what
???

  1. I’m reading these post backwards b/c I’m trying to catch up from the week-end so, I know what it is now, but when I saw the newer post I thought it was pasta. How wrong my thought was!
    Really neat editing, and experiment.

  2. I love the image Sarah. So much that I’d almost forgotten the puzzle part of this. I have an answer, of sorts, I think it’s something quite German, or at least European — but in reality I’m happy just enjoying the colour and texture of the shot. Hope you’re having a good weekend. 🙂

    1. Thank you so much, Su! 🙂 I have to admit that I´m kind of in love with that picture and its color and texture too 🙂 I even use it as my phones screensaver!
The answer has just been posted… hope you´ve guessed right! 🙂 xxxxxx

  3. No – but when I was nine, when kids chose an instrument to learn in school, I was crazy for it. The Hero’s call to adventure in every TV Western I loved.

  4. The competitor in me so wanted to get this and after 20 minutes of scrutinising if from several different angles in numerous shades of light it finally dawned on me. I shouldn’t reveal the answer just yet – I’d hate to spoil everyone else’s fun, so shall we just agree I’m the winner and say no more about it? 😉

      1. I’m a little perturbed you find this ‘ordinary’ and ‘edible’ but to each their own… I can now reveal the answer which coincidentally is my answer too. If you recall the film ‘Alien’ and the scene where John Hurt gives birth to a baby alien…
