A Year of Changing Seasons

First of all: I want to apologize for not having replied to all your lovely comments on my latest post yet. Just two words of explanation: stomach bug. 😦

So now that I almost feel like a human being again, I will get to it as soon as I hit the publish button for this post. 😉

 

I can´t actually believe it, but it´s been a year now that I joined the wonderful monthly Photo challenge “The Changing Seasons” originally invented by Max at Cardinal Guzman and that since then has been hosted by my very dear friend Su from over at Zimmerbitch.

And because of my own disbelief, I thought it would be nice to do a little recap, sharing with you one pic representing each post. If you´re interested in reading the original one, just follow the links added to each picture.

 

And of course we start with January, where I found this interesting little leaf hiding behind one of my succulents.

In February I had to get a new passport and came upon this lovely little window in the Citizen Registration Office. I couldn’t help it and had some fun editing the shot with Snapseed.

Finally Spring was nearly there, and I enjoyed the beauty and the colors of a bunch of tulips I´d gotten as a gift.

Due to circumstances I didn´t participate in The Changing Seasons in June but did take part in the Seven Days Photo Challenge. Here´s my contribution for Day 6 of the challenge:

After having so often admired Su’s wonderful sourdough creations, I finally gave in and tried to make my own sourdough starter in July. There were a few ups and downs, some of my starters didn’t pull through because it was just too hot, but my current starter is now 5 months old and happy as can be. As is his mother. 😉

In August I had the most fun watching this particular indefatigable bee that kept coming back to my pomegranate tree, enjoying the rich pollen and getting a little high on it. 😉

In September I spent a lovely day at our Zoo:

In October I started experimenting with a new painting technique, acrylic pouring, after having watched some amazing videos on youtube about it.

Another new hobby was found in December, the art of crocheting little amigurumi animals. This little fox I made for a friend´s new baby:

What I enjoyed even more than writing these blog posts at he end of each month, was reading what all the other bloggers who took part in this challenge, were up to during that same time.

And I look forward to a new Year of Changing Seasons and hope you do too!
