  1. Fantastic shot! And as Jacqui said: It is so clean. I remember you did a series of underground pics last year. Or was it the year before? They were awesome too. I really like the reflection of the lights on the ceiling.

    1. Thanks so much, Dominique! The cleanliness is totally deceiving – it looks actually much worse in reality. 😉
And yes, well remembered, I did this series, well actually am still doing it, but haven’t shared any more pictures yet. 😀

      1. Oh, I can’t wait to see the sequel of your series. I also remember the story about the young man you encountered in the subway. Beautifully written.

  2. Such a dramatic statement this image creates – hard to believe you caught it nearly empty of people. Makes me wonder where the vanishing point leads. The play of shadows and lights wouldn’t be the same in color – black and white is perfect, Sarah.

    1. Thank you so much, Shari! It was quite early in the day so I was lucky that most people were still in bed! 😉
I think most architectural shots profit from being in black and white, lets the eyes follow the lines more clearly without being distracted too much.

  3. You would find this on an early Sunday in Boston, though most of ours don’t look so pristine. I liked the so-called “ghost stations” when I visited Berlin; the stations that had been sealed up when the Berlin Wall went up.

    1. This is one of the stations they take care to look cleaner than usual, I really don’t know why but it’s nice not only from a photographer’s view! 😀
I remember driving through those ghost stations when I was a kid – I was terrified!! It always felt like we were doing something illegal or visiting a foreign country without setting food on the ground. Also they were poorly maintained, water dripping from the ceilings and paint peeling of the walls – nowadays I think it would have been great photo material! 😉
