Amigurumi Easter Bunnies wishing you all a very Happy Easter! (April 2019)

 

I`ve been crocheting like crazy these past days to get my couple of Easter bunnies ready for you. 😂

My fingers are still a bit stiff from all the action and are looking forward to a relaxing Easter weekend, where I’m planning to stuff myself with cake (Rhubarb with LOTS of cream), go for a walk (because of all that cake 😉 ), read my books (The Reckoning by John Grisham, The Moonstone by Wilkie Collins and Straight Into Darkness by Faye Kellerman) and hopefully get also a chance to paint a little.

My Easter bunnies have just hatched from their eggs, so they’re still a bit small and can hide between the flowers of my lovely filled ranunculus. 😉

They don’t know yet, that’s actually their job to hide chocolate eggs for children instead of hiding themselves. 😂

  9. Oh my, Sarah, this is serious cuteness. Love these bunnies so much. Glad to hear you were able to relax this weekend. I have too and enjoyed seeing my dad for his birthday. He is 79 years old but looks 15 years younger. There is hope for me after all. Fingers crossed. Unfortunately, I have to go to the office today but at least it is a beautiful day and I will walk to get there so, I’ll get some vitamin D. Keep well dear friend.

  10. I love your bunnies! I hope you had a great Easter. I certainly did, spending the day with friends and family and watching my toddler grandson hunt Easter eggs. (True, after he found them, he dumped the basket out, but hey….he’s getting the idea!)

  12. Your bunny amigurumi look amazing! Hehe, they are there to hide eggs and entertain everyone, so kind of them 🙂 I started making amigurumi – bit hard to get the stitching together but oh well it is a start 😃 Didn’t do much this Easter holiday but yeah, just trying to make amigurumi and tidying the house 😃

      The bunnies only had to go into that flowerpot for the shooting, and professional as they are they didn’t complain. 😉 So their little bottoms are safe and sound. 😊

    My Easter has been very low-key and has involved way too much cooking. I think i’ll Be grazing on leftovers for the next couple of days.

    1. Happy Easter to you too, Su!!! Even though celebrating seems a bit off now what with happened in Sri Lanka. 😯 It’s just so terrible, I lack the words to express my feelings. And if I do find them, they might not be very nice ones, so it’s probably best to keep my mouth shut.

      I’ve been painting a little today which is always so nice and relaxing – really who needs a spa when there’s watercolours and a brush and paper? 😂
      Too much cooking (and eating!) here too – I even went for a ride on my bike to burn off some of the calories! Next step – housecleaning! 😂xxxxx

      1. Yes, there really doesn’t seem like much to celebrate right now. I seem to have spent the weekend cooking and baking (and eating too much), and am also staring at my list of house chores and sewing projects. But the boy-child’s desk is finally complete and now I just need to find a nice spot to move it to for photos before he takes it home.
        I’m glad you’ve had time to paint; art and nature are the best therapies I’ve found too xxxxxx

  24. Happy Easter to you as well, Sarah. Your bunnies are adorable and I can see why your fingers hurt. The tinier, the tougher. We are having an odd day here and not sure how it’s going to play out but anyway it goes, I’ll be having fun. It’s not raining and that’s a good start for the moment. 🙂 Enjoy.

    1. Thank you, Marlene! It’s true that it’s tougher the tinier you work. I stayed away from crocheting and knitting yesterday to give my fingers a break. 😂
      We have splendid Easter weather around here but the parks are so full of people that it’s actually nicer to stay at home.
      What happened in Sri Lanka has also affected many people around here and celebrating seems a bit off now.
      So instead I’m busying myself with a bit of painting which was very nice and housecleaning – which is not! 😂 Hope you have a lovely day with your daughter!
