Day 29 of my new blog challenge –
Share Your Music! 30 Days 30 Songs!
Please feel free to join me anytime you want – casual players welcome!
(Just this one and then it’s going to be the last song tomorrow!!!)

If you love Rock, then you love Bon Jovi – it’s as simply as that, at least it is for me. 😉
So many wonderful songs again, and only one to choose!
So today’s song is “Bells of Freedom” – one of those ballads I can listen to and sing along again and again and again! 😀
Care to join me? 😉
A beautiful, uplifting song. Makes me want to stand up and dance and sing, imagining all that’s possible for us to achieve if we only direct ourselves to what is worth our time.
BTW, it was a group of adorable elementary school kids in one of my classes who introduced me to Bon Jovi. Lucky day for me. Of course, every day I had the honor and pleasure of teaching was a lucky day for me.

It really is that kind of song, isn’t it? There’s something so uplifting in it, but then music in itself is very uplifting when you think about it – what a marvel that human beings came up with it. Created and continue to create these sounds and songs and melodies – always makes me feel that there still is some hope left for our race as a whole.
I’ve watched the Rolling Stone concert in Havanna yesternight on the tv and was amazed at all those smiling, happy, sometimes even ecstatic faces when the camera turned in on the crowd. There’s that kind of energy you can almost see, even from a distance of space and time. Beautiful, really. 🙂

Trust me, you don’t want me to sing along to ANY song. Ever. But that doesn’t mean I don’t enjoy hearing others sing, especially Bon Jovi!

Surely it can’t be that bad, Ann? 😉 But I’m glad you enjoyed listening to this song! 😀

That voice! I have a big “thing” for smokey sound tones, such as Jon Bon Jovi, Cohen and Brian Adam’s voice. I was singing out loud (I am alone at home tonight) as I was listening to the music and reading the lyrics. Only one more day… So sad – Snif, snif!

Me too, Dominique! All fantastic singers you’ve mentioned! 😀 Hope you made the most of your day alone at home and watched silly movies, ate too much popcorn and danced around to some music. 😉

I was alone only for a few hours. BTW, I wanted to watch Knight’s Tale yesterday, but that almost got me into an argument with my hubby. Lol Hopefully, I’ll get the chance to see it next time I have a few hours to myself… And yes, with popcorn! 😀

One of the most important things there is, freedom. What worries me is that society in general is beginning to give it up too easily in exchange for things they want.

I like him too. This song is good match for 4th of July celebration in the US.

Aww – must feel great to know he’s from the same neck of the woods as you are, Lois! I know I’m ridiculously proud of every Berlin based band or sports club. 😀
