I can’t tell you how often I’ve yelled… eh, sung this song! Probably a million times, and I still find it awesome and I love it! And isn’t the video just such fun?

Can you believe that it’s now over 20 years ago that this song and the album “Jagged Little Pill” were published? Well, I for one can’t, but it’s true!!

Enjoy!

  1. I had completely forgotten about that song but why? Why? It is sooo good. BTW I do like the idea you and Su had about “Good Songs I Learned to Hate”. Although, there are only two that comes to my mind. Happy Friday Sarah. And a big thank you for your lovely card that I received today. xoxo

    1. Don’t worry, Dominique – I also forgot about it! 😀 Which is why it was such a good idea to not look through my playlists but also my CD collection for inspiration for this challenge. 😉
I’m so glad the card arrived!!! After last year’s disaster I was very reluctant to try it again, which is why it’s only a bought one this time, for which I’m sorry. But it’s the thought that counts, right? 😀 xoxo

      1. It’s a truly beautiful card Sarah and I love it. I was so happy to get something from you in the mail. Nobody ever writes on paper anymore, which makes it even more special and precious. Thank you dear friend. xoxo

    1. You’re very welcome, Tracy! It’s been too long a time for me to listen to this song as well. Yep, life’s definitely a mystery. 😉
      Thanks for the link!

  2. Not long after this was released, I found myself cornered by a drunk friend at a party, insisting that the situations in the song weren’t ironic at all. I was exhausted by the time I escaped the tirade; and it kind of spoiled my enjoyment of a really good song.

    1. Ah, that’s too bad when friends manage to spoil a song. I had that with one by R.E.M. – to this day I can’t enjoy listening to it. Wasn’t because of lyrics discussion just a stupid argument about something else – don’t ask me what, I completely forgot! 😂

      1. I’ve been thinking of a few different prompts … – songs from our own country (or local anyway) that deserve a wider audience
        – songs we deliberately sing the wrong words to
        – the worst earworms … ever
        the worst

      2. Ooh! I love the second one especially since with me being German you can guess that I used to sing the songs quite horribly back in the days when I didn’t really speak any English! 😀 – And I’m not even referring to me singing off-key here! LOL!
Even better: When Moulin Rouge came into cinemas, my friends and I were loudly singing Lady Marmelade on the streets, without a clue what we were actually singing because we didn’t have French at school!!! Quite embarrassing in retrospect. 😉
