A Day at the Zoo – part 2

Are you ready to continue our walk through the Berlin Zoo? 😉 Then let´s begin! After having strolled through the monkey´s house, I headed straight to that part of the Zoo that holds many of my very favorite animals. One of them are seals of all kinds. I can never stop admiring their streamlined eleganceContinue reading “A Day at the Zoo – part 2”

Magnolia Dreams… and Matcha-Cheesecake

I wish you all a magnificent, peaceful and Happy Easter! 🐣 🐰 Last Monday – the last warm day before it got cold again 😉 – I went with my mum on a beautiful walk to enjoy the sun and get some much needed exercise. It was quite stormy though and the wind was whippingContinue reading “Magnolia Dreams… and Matcha-Cheesecake”

A Day at the Zoo – part 1

Now that the days are getting brighter and longer, I´m up again for wandering around. At the end of March we had very nice and warm weather (not so much now – it´s like winter has come back to show us that he´s not a sissy), and as I own an annual ticket forContinue reading “A Day at the Zoo – part 1”

Sepia Spell – Old National Gallery

After having shared with you my vision of the stairway to heaven, I´m showing you today a view of “heaven” itself 😉 – the Old National Gallery in Berlin! If you ever get the chance to visit Berlin, make sure to drop by this wonderful building too! Wish you all a beautiful weekend!Continue reading “Sepia Spell – Old National Gallery”

Sepia Spell – Friedrichs Bridge

The Friedrichs Bridge is one of my favourite bridges in Berlin. It has been built in 1703 and restored in the last years and serves now solely as a pedestrian bridge in Berlin Mitte. It crosses the Spree and connects the mainland to the Museum Island – one of my favourite places in Berlin 🙂Continue reading “Sepia Spell – Friedrichs Bridge”

A Storm´s Coming…

As is often the case in summer, I´ve been on a short round on my bike at the former airport “Tempelhofer Feld” a couple of weeks ago when suddenly the clouds that started gathering in the west, rapidly came nearer. I made a few pictures and went home as fast as possible. Literally twoContinue reading “A Storm´s Coming…”

Sepia Spell – Flight of Stairs

This is one of the four entrances to the park I´ve introduced you to last week. The Koernerpark is situated below street level, so you have to walk down these beautiful flight of stairs to get to the garden area. Somehow this does always make me feel like a movie star 😉   Also,Continue reading “Sepia Spell – Flight of Stairs”

Sepia Spell – Wedding Bells

I stumbled over this lovely scene while I was enjoying a walk through one of my favourite parks here in Berlin, the Körnerpark. It´s a very small park compared to many others but it has been beautifully designed (around 1912-1916) and reminds me everytime of one place or another in northern Italy. It´s situatedContinue reading “Sepia Spell – Wedding Bells”

Sepia Spell – Light and Dark

Do you remember the Grotto I was showing you pictures of a couple of weeks ago? Here you can see the hidden back entrance. 😉   Also, you might have noticed the slight change of my Sepia related post from “Sepia Sunday” to “Sepia Spell”. That´s because I´m not sure if I´m going toContinue reading “Sepia Spell – Light and Dark”
