Thank you!!! 🙂
And the same thing happens to me too! I know that I´ve signed on to many more bloggers than what actually appears on my reader – so weird! Thanks for signing in again! Have a beautiful day!
I love this, Sarah! We have several varieties of apple trees and enjoy eating one or more of these delicious globes each day and found your story sketch delightful! 🙂 xo
Thank you, Bette! Oh, you’re lucky to have different apple trees, most people only have one variety. We used to have lovely little apple orchard at uni with lots if different apple trees but then they decided to build an new library and it had to go. That was such a sad day for me as I loved hanging out there and grab an apple for lunch. xoxo
Your post really made me smile Sarah! I love your art and I love the fact you take inspiration from EVERYTHING around you!! I need to pick up my sketch pad again, and you inspire me to do it! 🙂 xx Have a great weekend my friend! xx
Thank you so much, Gill! And I´m so happy that you´re inspired to pick up your sketch pad again because of my post!! Wish you tremendous fun drawing and painting! Have a wonderful weekend, dear friend! xx 🙂
That is so clever, Sarah…I feel a little sad for the apple! 😀 I eat apples completely differently. I wash them and then cut them into little pieces which I then eat. My grandmother used to peel the whole apple in one paring and slice off bits which she put in her mouth with the knife.
Thanks so much, Kerry! Actually I sometimes eat apples just like you do, it depends on whether I’m too hungry or not. 😉 And with this one I thought it would look better what with the bites and all. 😊 My grandfather ate his apples exactly like your grandmother!! He was very fond of them and only shared them with his horses, never with his children who had to sneak some behind his back. 😂
I love the tale about your grandfather – so that is where you got your love of critters! Horses love apples and so do Possums… Don’t tell the neighbors. 🍏🍏❤️
I just love how you show that simple things in life are art too 🙂
How’s the weather in Berlin? Over here the snow is gone and we get a week with lost of Sunshine and 10 till 15 degrees 🙂 🙂 🙂
Thank you, Patty! I often think that it´s the small things in life that need to be put into focus more often so we can learn to appreciate them more.
It´s a bit warmer than last week here but still too cold for my taste! 😀 But at the end of the week there shall be about 9 degrees too! Time to get out our bikinis, eh? 😉 LOL! Hugs! xxx
Sarah, a gifted study of the apple as it’s slowly eaten … this just makes me smile! An original and beautifully executed story of the apple, the red shine is wonderfully glossy and I like seeing the changes along the way. Hope you’re having a lovely Sunday! 😀❤️
Thank you so much, Annika! I´ve never eaten an apple with such intense before – and it also took much more time than usual. 😉 Hope you had a lovely weekend and wish you a perfect start for the new week ahead! Hugs! 😀 ❤
Wonderful Sarah. You have been drawing and painting a whole poem
of life in one panel. Beautiful.
As Sharon also says, by planting those seeds you can make a whole generation of apples again.
Thank you, I will save this drawing on my iPad.
miriam
Thanks so much, Miriam! I feel so touched by your notion to save my painting on your iPad! 😄
And I love Sharon’s idea to plant the seeds – that would not only provide wonderful new apples for future generations but also more motives for more drawings and paintings while it grows. 😊
Have a lovely evening! ❤
A wonderful study of the life of an apple, Sarah. And if you’re really industrious, you can plant those seeds and have an apple tree one day, bearing fruit for future generations to enjoy. For now, you’ve got a painting to remind you.
Thank you very much, Sharon! And I totally love your idea of planting the seeds to have an apple tree one day that bears fruit and maybe even inspiration for future generations! That’s such a lovely and inspiring thought. 😊❤
Great story, Sarah 🙂 … ’cause when it’s crunch time, ya just gotta
take a bite and get down to the core of the matter! 😉 ❤ Jackie@KWH

That made me smile, Sarah. Then in chapter two, the apple ends up in mulch pile, the seeds grow a new tree and the apple’s life continues. 🙂

Some time ago I wrote a story of a special appletree:

I love your artwork.
The appletree in my blogpost was the result of the remains of a apple.
