The Changing Seasons – Spring Edition

First of all: I want to apologize to all of you for staying away from blogging without even announcing or explaining it for so long.

I had – what I now know in hindsight – what you might call a digital burnout. All of a sudden I felt I had to pull my digital plug in order to take care of my mental health.

I did so by deleting all social media apps on my smartphone one night, and the relief I felt just after I did it, was almost comical. Especially when you consider that I was almost scared to do it in the first place.

I’m going to write a seperate and more detailed post about it soon, but felt I had to explain what happened before I delve into this Changing Seasons post.

So here comes, what I’ve been up to in the last 3 months! Be warned: as you might expect, it’s somewhat longish. So feel free to quickly sneak into the kitchen to get a beverage of your choice, some snacks, and maybe a short visit to the loo before you get started. 😉 And also to ask questions about any drawings you’d like to know more about – I know that they sometimes don’t make much sense to anyone who isn’t me. 😉

March

I’d love to say that I did some amazing and stunning stuff during my social media break – but no. It was rather the same as usual with a few exceptions out of the ordinary.

I’ve been trying to keep fit and healthy during lockdown by doing various exercises, lots of yoga and eating plenty of vegetables and fruits. I even started – and no, these days it’s actually no cliché anymore since Germans tend to buy the stuff at the supermarket – to make my very own Sauerkraut(!). I’ve heard from a friend that it wasn’t all that difficult to make, so I thought why not? All you need is cabbage (any will do but I took the classic green cabbage), salt and time – and and a bit of muscle power too.

As you can see in my doodle calendar, my little social media breakdown happened exactly on the day before, on the 17th to be precise. Part of my social media break was to stop taking pictures just for the sake of share them on my various social media accounts. So I’m afraid there are no pics of my Sauerkraut-making, or of much else during that time, and I’ll have to rely on my doodle calender as a reference.

Rest assured though that the fermentation magic did indeed happen and the final result was delicious! If you ever get the chance to try raw sauerkraut, or kimchi, which is the Korean alternative, take it! Thanks to the fermentation process it’s brimful with good things like prebiotics that will boost your immune system. If you’re interested in how to make your own raw sauerkraut, just google it or have look here.

The other remarkable thing that happened in March was that I got my first COVID-vaccine shot. I had a bit of a fever a couple of days afterwards and generally felt ill but also very thankful too.

Here in Germany the vaccination process started quite late, thanks to our government making a couple of mistakes ordering the vaccines. It’s still hobbling along but all in all people start to see a silver lining on the horizon and we’ve even started opening up a little again, meaning we don’t have to do an antigen quick test everytime we want to go shopping, which is quite a relief.

April

April had lots of bad weather in store for us – it even snowed a couple of times which is very unusual this late in the year. Mind you, May wasn’t much better in that department, being the coldest and wettest May in over 40 years.

This didn’t keep me from sowing seeds and repotting plants however. And even if the weather wouldn’t play along, the first signs of spring/summer awaited me in the supermarket: asparagus and strawberries! YUM!

One of my highlights was when I finally and successfully tackled “downward dog” during my yoga sessions!!

May

May started with the usual demonstrations on May 1st around here: most of them peacefully demanding lower rents, and things, but many people also use the occassion to riot in the streets, especially at night. No matter the weather, I usually stay indoors on that day in order to avoid getting caught up by the events.

Apart from that I broke my own book reading record during this months and almost doubled my usual count (10 instead of 5 books), and had my first appointment at the dentist’s in two years – fortunately everything was fine, I just needed a new night guard. 😀

I even got back to working on a canvas painting I started last year – my own version of “The Great Wave of Kanagawa”by Hokusai. I planned on finishing it this month, but alas, there’s still lots of work to do.

There also was a rather unpleasant surprise visit from my downstairs neighbour on Whitsun Monday however – apparently water was dripping down the ceiling in her bathroom! A quick look under my bathtub confirmed that the drain had come off completely and the floor right underneath it was soaking wet. The bath mat had stopped the water from reaching my feet or I would have noticed it earlier!

Because sanitary fittings seem to change size every couple of decades – for unknown reasons – I had to wait and hunt for the right replacement. I just managed to repair it yesterday – and what glory and joy that first shower was, I tell you!

And this was it! Didn’t I tell you it was rather boring and unspectacular? 😉

Better let me know what you have been up to all these months! Did you find ways to remain fit? Started or finished new projects? No worries, I will catch up with your blogs soon, but would love a little news about you just the same, if you don’t mind. 😀

Wishing you all a beautiful Sunday!

If you’re interested in the Changing Seasons, here’s some information about the challenge:

About The Changing Seasons

The Changing Seasons is a monthly project where bloggers around the world share their thoughts and feelings about the month just gone. We all approach this slightly differently — though generally with an emphasis on the photos we’ve taken during the month.

For many of us, looking back over these photos provides the structure and narrative of our post, so each month is different.

Others focus on documenting the changes in a particular project — such as a garden, an art or craft project, or a photographic diary of a familiar landscape.

But in the end, it is your changing season, and you should approach it however works for you.

There are no fixed rules around post length or photo number — just a request that you respect your readers’ time and engagement.

Tag your photos with #MonthlyPhotoChallenge and #TheChangingSeasons so that others can find them.

  1. I am so glad to see you back, Sarah!
Digital burnout is happening so rampantly and I’m so glad you were able to to do what was right for you! I know so many BlogFriends who are on break (and I am hoping they will be back at some point!) and I wish them all restoration and rejuvenation!

I hear you: one would expect that being on a break, one could do excitingly different things, right? I like how you phrase it: “I’d love to say that I did some amazing and stunning stuff during my social media break – but no. It was rather the same as usual with a few exceptions out of the ordinary.”

Not so different from me – I’ve been on self-enforced social isolation for the past year, but I haven’t got anything spectacular to report.

But like you, I have been trying to stay fit – also my morning runs are my sanity time and outing for the day. Congratulations, by the way, on your progress in yoga!

I’ve also been doing fun kitchen projects, like making dumplings (after longtime consideration) I’ve also started making banchan, like pickled cucumbers, radish ((not kimchi yet, though, because a good friend of mine makes a delicious one and I get mine from her!).

Can’t wait to see your watercolours again!

    1. Hi Ju-Lyn! So wonderful to see you here! 😀
Yes, it seems that many of our blog friends are in need of some restoration time social media wise, and I hope they’ll find it as helpful as I did. Having said that, it’s so good to be back though! 😀 The only thing I have to remind myself is not too overdo it, which I tended to do before my break – I blame my smartphone for this, it was way too easy to check in on all social media whenever I felt like it. Now I’ve restricted myself to only do it on the computer and this seems to work for me as I don’t use it on a daily basis. So I’m tricking myself a bit here. 😉

Hehe! Wouldn’t we all love to blurt out that we did spectacular things during our lockdown times? 😉 And I actually started so well, like getting new strings for my guitar and borrow language courses from the library…
Since that didn’t work out as planned I wasn’t too disappointed that my social media break went likewise. Also I learned it sometimes can be much harder to do nothing than to keep busy all the time. Like to really concentrate on a book for an hour or two in one session instead of trying to fit in a page between other things one’s busy doing.

That’s awesome that you’ve started to make your own banchan! I think many people are currently discovering the (lost) art of preserving and pickling these days. Now I only wish I could travel around and taste what you’re all pickling! LOL! My last batch of sauerkraut got a little too salty by the way, so I have to mix it with sweet carrot salad if I don’t want to part with it (which I don’t since it was so much work!). So it’s obviously a learning process. 😉

      1. One of the peculiar things that I’ve noticed in this time of crazy, is that I’ve lost my ability to do some things (play the piano & sing, read books, write poetry…). I think all these things require a certain headspace for prolonged periods and I just can’t seem to stay there.

So, I find solace instead in my running (outdoor & green therapy), cooking/baking (new as well as comfort foods), and BlogTime.

I was just saying to another BlogFriend that I don’t know whether I’ve forgotten how to be sociable …

      2. I don’t think you’ve forgotten how to be sociable, Ju-Lyn, or you wouldn’t be blogging. 😉
But I do know what you mean when you said that one needs a certain kind of headspace in order to do certain things like playing the piano. And I find it admirable that you were able to find solace in other things to do instead. Running and baking are awesome and you do it so well, I’m literally drooling every time I see your baked goodies. 😀
Don’t worry, I’m sure some day you’ll be able to get back to those other things, but in the meantime just enjoy what brings you joy at this moment in time! 😀

      3. Exactly! Live in the moment and enjoy what I can!

I’ve started a stretching practice this week – not as challenging as yoga but I am discovering neglected muscles so that’s a good thing

      4. Stretching is good! Just read somewhere that it also helps all blood vessels to stay in good shape and be elastic. 😀

      5. Goodness! It’s tougher than I thought, this stretching business. I didn’t realise how challenging it can be – I’m discovering muscles I’d forgotten I had!

      1. I think often people overlook the importance of understanding your own body and knowing when you need that break. It is important to regularly check how you are doing and what you need to do to Look after yourself. I do hope your break helped.

  2. Nice to see you back Sarah. It’s always good to take a break and recharge! I just lovely your art calendar, it’s really different. I started a new job in March which I am enjoying mostly and I have started a new exercise regime to try and lose some pounds put on over lockdown! I havent been blogging much, but it’s always on my mind, I need to make more effort in that area, but it’s the last thing I want to do after work! Have a great week ahead! 🙂 xx

    1. HI Gill! Lovely to hear from you! Congratulations on the new job! I totally get the not being up to much blogging after work, and you really don’t need to feel guilty about it. Maybe you’ll get back to it once things have settled and when it gets colder again. I think I’m more busy blogging in the winter months. 😉
Apropos – it’s going to be very HOT in the next days here! A bit too hot for my taste but what can you do? 😉 Lots of melon and other fruits waiting in the fridge though so that is taken care of. 😉 Have a lovely week and day! xx

  3. Good to hear from you, Sarah! I just love looking at your calendars…mine just have illegible scribbling on them, on yours, each little square is a work of art in its own right! I’m glad you were able to get your first shot and hope your second one is soon. Once more people get vaccinated, it makes a huge difference in the quality of life, and I hope that is true in Germany very soon. I’ve never heard about annual May 1 demonstrations and riots (although here in the States we also have the problem of peaceful demonstrations often switching over to violent riots, and we act surprised each time it happens). Is there a significance to that date? Sometimes I feel so ignorant about the culture of other countries, it’s embarrassing!

    1. Hello Ann! So lovely to hear from you!
Absolutely no need to feel embarrased, I wouldn’t know anything about significant dates/holidays etc in the US if it weren’t for my blog buddies either.
So the 1 May is our International Worker’s Day, or Labor Day. It’s when our independent workers’ organizations held severeral demonstrations and celebrations. You can read more about it here if you want: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/International_Workers%27_Day
There’s even a paragraph about the situation in Germany, especially in Berlin.

So agree about the importance of everybody getting vaccined! And I hope that the Western world will help the less developed countries to get their share of the vaccines too, otherwise we all will have to suffer.
Hope you’re well, and am looking forward to visit your blog soon!

  4. Yeaaaa. Your calendars are so bright and colorful and I love trying to figure out what happened that day based on an image. I imagine it’s like anything, the more you do it, the easier it gets? Very inspirational, nonetheless.

And a nice keepsake. I’d have to read my journals (and who wants to do that?!) in order to get a snapshot of the days. Almost never read anything I wrote unless I’m specifically looking for some info, which does happen from time to time, but alas, I’m no Marcus Aurelius 😛

As far as social, I’ve definitely taken a step back from it all, with efforts to be more ‘social’ here and there. And it’s funny, I don’t think you’re the only one lately, my social circle seems quieter than usual. Hopefully, everyone is out and about more and it’s a positive development. xo

    1. Actually it sometimes gets more difficult to come up with a new pic when the things you do start to resemble themselves after a while: going shopping, cooking, baking, cleaning – repeat… LOL! So I try to concentrate on the little things, like drawing a cauliflower. 😀
I’m no Marcus Aurelius either – which reminds me, I wanted to get a copy of his journals! Also very inpsiring I’ve heard. Did you read them?

I was wondering if this social distancing from social media is catching. 😉 But maybe it’s just a normal cycle – after a certain period of blogging one needs to reload those batteries. And I think with summer coming along here in the Northern hemisphere most people long to be more outside and less online, since that’s what’s most of us spend our days during the lockdown.
Wishing you a wonderful weekend ahead! xo

      1. Yes, summer months and wanting to get outside after lockdown makes so much sense.

And yeah, now that you mention it, that would be the challenge of a daily sketch. But nothing wrong with cauliflower, yo! 😛

I need to read Meditations. I think I have it here somewhere but just haven’t gotten around to it since there’s so many great books to read! xxoo

  5. Very nice! It is nice that you share what happened during your break. Your cute calendar telling what was going each day is awesome. It is a good way to make a summary of each day. It makes me think like old Egyptian’s way of telling stories.

    1. Hi Jennie! So lovely to hear from you! Yes, it did feel a bit like a trip to the beach! 😀 I’ve realised how important it is to control one’s access to all things social media and the internet in these past months.
Hope you’re okay? Did you get your vaccine shot? By the way: is it mandatory for school staff to get vaccinated where you live? Around here it isn’t, and I’m not so sure it’s a wise decision…
      Best to you too!

      1. All is well, just way too busy. I’ve had both shots, and we visited our grandchildren after 18 months. That was wonderful! There is no mandate for teachers to be vaccinated. I wonder if this will change in September. Now, the focus seems to be on vaccinating children. To date, those who are 12 and older can be vaccinated. They’re looking at younger children.

        Liked by 1 person

      2. That’s so wonderful you could visit your grandchildren after such a long time, Jennie!
Yes, they’re also testing if children under the age of 12 can get vaccined here. But since we don’t even have enough of the stuff for the older kids, I doubt it’s a priority. 😦

  8. Thanks so much, Su! It’s lovely to be back. 😀
I think I understand that pressure you put yourself under, it is quite all-consuming, isn’t it? It felt even a bit rebellious to bake a cake without taking a photo of it at first – but luckily I’m now over that. 😉 And can take pictures again too, just for me though, and only maybe to share later.
Social media has a tendency – and please pardon my French – to f*ck with our brains. We’ve become so accustomed to share every tidbit of our lives without realising that this is sometimes what pulls us down in the long run. Not the sharing bit itself, but the feeling pressured to DO it. Mmh, I’m still trying to figure it all out and to find a way to handle social media in a way that does not feel harmful.
Be kind to yourself and take all the time you need. Read, bake, be creative – and don’t feel like you’ve got to share it. Just do it for yourself and enjoy and just be. It really helps. x

  9. I always love to see your day-by-day drawings, so it’s a bonus to have so many to enjoy.

Your comment about no longer taking photos just to share on social media really struck a chord with me. I think that becoming aware of the pressure I was putting myself under to do just that was what led to my decision to take a break too.
Yay for sauerkraut! I’ve made it a couple of times and it’s wonderful. I’m about to try making kimchi, and maybe some red cabbage sauerkraut, since I’m nearly out of my last batch.

Lovely to see you back on WP, and to know that you’re ok.

  10. Sarah, your drawings are very creative and fun. It is always a good idea to acknowledge what you need to do to keep your mind and body healthy, and I fully understand how too much SM can run down your reserves and how good it feels to leave it behind. I have taken myself away from FB and only use messenger. Far more pleasant and blog when I can; I still have Instagram, though I don’t use it as much as I did.

    1. Thanks so much for your lovely comment, Suzanne! Yes, it was exactly that feeling, the running down of my reserves that did it for me. But it feels very good to be back again, I only need to find a way to balance it all out: being on social media without loosing too much control over my time spend there. I’ve also deleted my FB account, and think am going to do the same with my IG account, although I’m not quite certain about it. WP is the sanest and kindest of them all I feel. Looking forward to catch up with you soon! Take care!

  11. Sarah, it’s great to hear from you and to catch up on what you’ve been up to during the past three months. Glad to know that you are well. Good for you to break free from Social Media’s invaders of mind snatchers and time thieves. For the purpose of receiving and sending text messages, I’ve recently upgraded my outdated flip-phone for an iPhone SE (2020). Now I receive reports of how little time I’ve used the device. What’s all that about? Why should Apple care? Apart from struggling to do the basic tasks on my new iPhone, I’ve begun the daunting and frustrating journey of self-publishing my second novel. You can read all about it on my June 6th blog post. Happy to have you back. Take care of yourself ❤

    1. Hello Rosaliene! So lovely to hear from you! My social media break had quite the rejuvenating effect on me, although it did take a while to get there. Mind snatcher and time thieves – couldn’t phrase it better! That’s just how it felt to me back then, and I’m now still in the process to find out which social media suit me best. I think WP is the most sanest and kindest of them all, and at the moment, all the social media I need or can handle.
That’s funny that you’ve upgraded your flip-phone – I was just thinking I might get my old one out of the cupboard in order to further control the time I spend online. It’s so much easier to just use your smartphone than to power up your computer – and also much more seducing. I’ve done some reading on the matter and you know what? That message you receive from Apple doesn’t surprise me one bit. Because in the end – and this sound kind of weird since all those apps are for “free”, right? Which by the way they are not, to really that is – your time is (and now it comes!) THEIR money. So of course they want you to spend more time with your phone and on the various apps. Your data is their prime priority. The more time you spend for instance on Instagram, the richer they get! (Phew, I really need to write that social media post, I think. 😉 )
Looking forward to catch up with you and congratulations on your second novel now being ready for self-publishing!! Sending you lots of energy for this journey! Take care! ❤

      1. Thanks, I sure do need lots of energy! I was forced to upgrade my phone since, during the pandemic, text messaging has become the means of communication used by my health care providers and government agencies. Apart from the Apple App Store app, which I believe comes with the phone–my son set it up for me–I have not downloaded any apps. I use my desktop for my Internet connections.

      2. It’s the same here, text messages and smartphones are pretty much required for everything these days. I can see the practibility in it, but there’s also lots of potential for fraud and security breaches regarding personal data.

  12. It was lovely to see your post pop up, Sarah. I think breaks are essential to our sense of balance, and it’s healthy to honor our need for time away from technology. There’s more to life than sitting behind a screen. WordPress is my only social media endeavor, and even that can feel like too much at times. You had a busy few months with lots of other activities and accomplishments. I love your visual calendars. Happy Spring, my friend.

As much as I love my blog buddies and all that’s part of blogging, it was nice for a change to just be and relax and not to worry what to post, write etc. Kind of a holiday really! I think I’ve come to a point where I realised that WordPress is all the social media I need. Too much of social media just seemed to have worn me out. Looking very much forward to catch up with you! Happy summer, dear friend! Take care! xo

  13. Dear Sarah, your little daily drawings are special. I hope you are building them into a book. Now that would be so great to look back on in years to come! I look forward to seeing the Great Wave if you decide to show it here! I was toying with the idea of making sauerkraut and was looking on the internet for instructions when my wife suggested trying some first. She bought a small organic jar and it turns out we like it, so we will be making our own soon. You have a drawing of Chopin, was it his birthday? It’s good to know you are well and safe and I’m kicking myself that I didn’t continue with the daily doodle. I’m thinking about doing some crochet, a first for me! Maybe I’ll need the daily doodle to relax! 🤗💐💐🙏

    1. Thank you so much, Ashley! And yes, I hope to fill the whole sketchbook with my daily drawings, it already proofed to be a great way to look up stuff that happened – much faster than having to read through written journal pages. 😉 Although I do that too sometimes.
Of course I’m going share my Big Wave when it’s finished – count on it! 😀
That was very sensible to try out the sauerkraut first before you make your own, it’s not to everybody’s taste. Glad you like it too, and I’m sure you both are going to enjoy the process as well as the results. My batch is nearly finished and I’m going to make a new one next weekend probably. This time I might add a few carrot shavings for sweetness and maybe a bit of chili too. The possibilities are endless!
That would be a great coincidance if it really was Chopin’s birthday that day, let me have a quick look: nope, although they don’t seem to be sure which day he actually was born – 22 Febr or 1 of March, how funny is that? Anyway, I was merely starting with a new sheet of music, Tristesse (Étude Op. 10, Nr. 3), as I play the piano. Not very good, mind you, but I like doing it very much. 😀
It’s never too late to pick up on the daily drawings, and I really think you should get back to it as yours were so lovely! But crocheting it also a lot of fun! I used to do these little japanese stuffed animals, amigurumi, a couple of years back. They’re quite easy to make and also lots of fun, and great gifting material to friends and family.
Looking forward to catch up with you soon! Take care! 😀 🙏🌸💕

The US is open!! Here in Florida, no masks, except at doctor’s offices and hospitals. It is such a relief to not have to wear them, but feels weird after having to wear them for so long. Yay! That’s great news from Florida!! So happy for you! We still have to wear our masks when shopping or using public transport as well as in doctors’ offices and hospitals of course, and it gets harder with each day as the weather’s warming up now. But safety first, right?

Missed you to and look forward to catching up with you! x

  16. I came by your blog the other day and wondered where you were! Good to know you decided to take a social media break and focused on spending time in the real world that you are passionate about 😊 I really enjoyed your April and June summaries and your colourful drawings are always a pleasure to look at. I think a social media break is good – forces us to slow down and realise you don’t always have to keep up with the latest things and what’s going on in other people’s lives. I like to keep apps on my phone to a minimum, only having a few of them on there so I don’t overdo social media and get worn down.

We are in lockdown again here in Melbourne. Hopefully it is a short one. Like you, I also have been trying to keep fit and healthy. I was a bit slack with working out earlier this year and have gotten back into the swing of it. It feels good when you are taking care of your body. Also been trying to perfect the savoury Chinese dish called radish/turnip cake. That went well.

I like the gummy bears you drew on 18 April. I am guessing you had gummy bear treats that day 😀

We are in winter over here. It’s been cold and dreary most days. Hoping it’s a quick winter this year. Enjoy your summer, Sarah 💕

    1. Hi Mabel, so lovely to hear from you! Thank you for your lovely comment! That’s a very good thing that you also keep apps to a minimum on your phone, I’ve only realised how much time I spend on my phone after I deleted the apps – it’s was way too much!
So very sorry to hear you’re in lockdown again, but think this will be the new normal for the next couple of years – openings in summer, lockdowns in winter. How’s the vaccination process in Australia coming along?
Don’t be too hard on yourself because you were a bit slack with your work outs – I’ve come to realise that it’s pretty normal to have these spurges of energy: first you’re all for working out, and after a couple of months it becomes a bit boring and you forget about it, until you get back to it! LOL! That’s why I try to not always do the same exercises but keep it a bit varying.
What kind of work out do you do? Apart from the yoga I’m also doing a couple of strengthening exercises like push-ups and such.
I like the sound of radish/turnip cake! Just had a quick look on Google and think it looks a bit like a water chestnut cake that I’d once had in a tiny Chinese restaurant. It was utterly delicious and I wish I knew how to make it!
Hehe! Yes, that was a little gummy bear party all for myself – almost finished the whole pack! 😉
Hope winter’s not too bad, and that your lockdown will be a short one! Take care! 💕

      1. It really is lovely to hear from you, Sarah. It is always a pleasure to read about your creativity. I still feel I can delete more apps on my phone lol. There are a few apps on my phone that I use every now and then, and am thinking maybe I should just get rid of them.

The vaccination process is coming along in Australia, step-by-step. I also think lockdowns will be normal for a while to come. Hopefully some point we all get to travel again.

I like doing HIIT workouts but keeping it to low-impact, avoiding many of the jumping exercises or the ones that are hard on the knees because, well, you know, getting older 😀 That’s amazing you can do push-ups! I still can’t do a push-up but I am working on it.

A party where you eat all the gummy bears sounds like a great party. I should come over one day for that party. I will bring over even more gummy bears 😀

      2. What I’ve learned in the last couple of months is that deleting the apps is more difficult than to actually not having them around anymore. 😂
That’s amazing that you do HIIT workouts! And very sensible to avoid the jumping exercises – your knees will be so grateful to you. 😉 I remember how they complained when I went jogging a few years ago!
I only do the women style push ups though, where your knees touch the ground and not the classic one. And to be honest – that’s absolutely sufficient for me! 😀 I also started with just the one, after a couple of days it were 3, 5, 10… you get the drift. I managed 40 at one point but then had to reduce the count as my shoulders didn’t take it too well. Now it’s half of that, about 2 or 3 times a week.

        Yeah! Let’s have a gummy bear party!! 😀 😉

      3. That is amazing you can do knee push ups! I can’t even do one of those 😂It sounds like you have quite some strength and maybe one day you can graduate to normal push ups!

Happy to have a gummy bear party any day 😀

  17. I’ve been thinking of you most days and figured it was something like this. I’m taking a bit of a break myself right now. Mostly because outside work and company coming, I have more work and less steam to get it done. We all need to take care of our mental and physical health first. I got my second vaccine on Wednesday and my arm is still sore and red but that’s the only reaction I had with both vaccines. They did make me extra tired so I just have to go with it until it passes. Good to hear you are back to somewhat normal. If there is a normal anymore. My son and spouse will be here for 10 days so I’ll be buried with chores until then. Have a great week and just breathe. 🙂 Hugs.

    1. It’s so lovely to hear from you, Marlene! And I’m so glad you got your vaccination after all and that the side effects were only little. I’ve heard from someone else that she also felt very tired after her injections, so that seems to be normal. I’ll have my second shot in about 2 weeks.
That’s lovely news that your son and his spouse are coming to visit you, even if it means that you’ll be buried under household chores until then. 😉 Wishing you all a wonderful time together! Take care! Hugs! 😀
