I started this painting months ago and let it lying around in order to do other things instead. Sometimes it is like that with a painting. It kind of needs time to incubate.
Today however I finally finished it, my Ghostly Ruins! Hope you like it!

I love this a real sense of mystery and quite Surrealist, which you know I love. Plus I am indebted to your previous ghostly image of my story. Thanks

Fantastic, Sarah! I also like the light peeking between the boards. You spoke of it needing time to incubate–stories can do that too.

Wow! Thank you so much, Cathy!!! 🙂 I´m so glad you like it and the “special effect” I tried to create 😀
I do believe that stories need even more time! I always imagine it like hatching an egg 😉

For me, sometimes they pop into my head almost fully formed; then sometimes, I may have to work on it sporadically over a long period of time. They are all individuals. 🙂

Thank you, Lion!! 🙂 To be honest, I´m not sure myself 😉 Sometimes those images just appear out of my head, my heart…who knows! The artist´s part is to let those images out, the viewer´s is to decipher their meaning (if there is any 😉 ) Have a great day/evening! 🙂

This one is super! I especially like the lightning you managed to create between the wooden boards of the wall.

That is pretty cool. I’m viewing it on my mobile but like the colors shapes and textures. There is a bit of mystery to it also. Cheers!

Thank you so much, Chris!! 🙂
It was definitely challenging to paint architecture instead of humans or animals 😉 So glad you find it mysterious as well – that´s something I´ve been secretely hoping to create! 🙂 Cheers!

It´s funny, most of my paintings need a couple of weeks, then there are some I finish in a matter of days, and then there are those that take months to be accomplished. Have a lovely sunday! xoxo
