As promised, I´m showing you this time the Berlin Cathedral (short for: Evangelical Supreme Parish and Collegiate Church) as it can be seen from the Friedrichs Bridge.
I decided to lie on the floor to give you a sense of the bridge´s width too, which really is quite impressive especially since it´s only for pedestrians.
But let me show you another one of the Berlin Cathedral…
The Cathedral is located on the Museum Island and has been build around 1905. At that time there still was a “Kaiser” in Berlin!
Although it´s commonly called a cathedral, it´s not one in the actual sense of the word, since it has never been the seat of a bishop.
I am finally catching up 🙂 Sorry for the long absence.
This cathedral is magnificent. Great for monochromatic photographs.

Hi Miss G – and no worries about not visiting – because sometimes it is nice to miss a blogger – you know what i mean – maybe like in real life where we do not over visit with the neighbor – they might appreciate our string of visits after a break… oh I dunno….
anyhow, glad we are catching up now… peace

Well I also think of you with a smile whenever I see the cool image you made for Chris – I do not always visit his main site – (usually visit via reader) but I have had two or three times been on the full site and that cool image is there (reminds me of Starbucks) and it really is sweet –
A nice sprinkle of you!

Awww – Thank you sooo much once again Y.!!! 😄 I’m so happy every time I visit his main site (which I do with every site I visit instead of using the reader because I like to see the different design everyone’s chosing 😉) 😀! It’s so sweet of him to keep it as a logo like a lovely constant reminder of our friendship 😃. And I’m so glad you like it too!! 😁
Have a very beautiful day full of sunshine and wonder! 😃 xxxxx

I love the plane or whatever is causing the random streak to the left of the dome – very cool!

Thank you Sarah! You’re spot on! it actually is a plane (or jet) that’s making the stream!

That is a cool perspective from the low level. I like it. The cathedral is just next to the water way. I can’t make out whether there is a dock there or not. I think it is a good arrangement.

Thank you very much!!! 🙂 That’s a good observation you’ve made and I just checked on my other pics I made that day to confirm whether it has its own dock or not, which it does. But it’s not located directly by the building but a little bit farther off to the bridge I’ve been standing on. Have a very beautiful weekend! 🙂 xxx

Beautiful cathedral Sarah. If it is not one in the actual sense of the word, is it being used as one?

Thank you so much, Terry!!! 🙂 Yes, it is frequently used for everykind of services and visitors can go up and down the building on open-door day, which I did a couple of years ago. The stairs were quite demanding but it was definitely worth the effort! You have a fantastic view up there over Berlin Mitte! Thank you so much again for commenting, I appreciate you very much!!! 🙂 xxxxx
